The best place I’ve found for my high-energy dog! Thomas (the owner) and his team, especially Michael, are fantastic. It is apparent when speaking with them and seeing them interact with the pups that they both understand and more importantly love dogs. The value exceeds the price as I don’t have to think about my crazy little terrier from the moment I drop him off until the time I pick him up, inevitably filthy (they do offer baths though) and exhausted and happy from getting to tear around and just be a dog all day every day. I’ve left him for as long as a month and he’s always just as happy when I pick him up whether it’s been three days or 30 days. The exercise and pack time that he gets there is something that I simply can’t duplicate on my own. It truly is sleepaway camp for dogs. They’ve always been flexible and accommodating with dates of stays, they send pictures of my pup, and I’ve found them to be all-around salt of the earth good people who I can trust with my doggo. Having had dogs for 20 years, I am very selective about who I will leave them with. Cannot say enough good things about the Ranch and their team. I tell every dog owner in my neighborhood about them. Highly recommend! (Photos are actual photos they’ve sent me while my dog stayed with them)

My corgi loves coming here when I am out of town. He is so excited when we pull up to the ranch. He comes home exhausted. Alpine dog ranch is communicative and I know he is being well looked after. You can text them for info or pics too. Highly recommend this spot for boarding.

We have been in communication with Alpine Dog Ranch for weeks. We were told that no reservation was needed and that we were set to drop our dog off for this weekend. Today, we were informed that this was not the case. The levels of unprofessionalism and disorganization are astounding. I can't comment on how the stay is for the dogs, but I can say that I have lost all faith in this place. If they can't take care of the basics regarding booking, I have no idea how they take care of dogs. I have a 3 week trip in December where we were planning on leaving our dog there but after this, I can't trust this place.

Great people when we went fir our tour. Plenty of room for the pups to get tuckered out. They have a little pond of water for dogs. The dog runs are in a small shed and another in a barn. I will consider leaving my dog her fir a weekend. I'm not sure she could make it a week. It's lots of exercise, but for my dog she doesn't know when to stop. I feel like they are doing a wonderful thing, just not the stay place for us. I would love to visit when the dogs are out and about to see their actual interaction with the pups.

We moved out to San Diego from Boston back in 2021. We brought our two pointers with us. Clarke was 3 and Louie was a few months old. They are a handful. We had always relied on family to watch them for us back home in Boston. We really struggled our first year out here trying to find a place for them to stay where we didn't feel guilty. We toured a couple places around San Diego, passed the temperament exams, got them into a few daycares and started there. None of the places were really what we were looking for as far as overnight boarding goes, but it had been almost a year since we had seen our family so we bit the bullet and picked one we thought was the best. We were nervous and but we were sure we had done our due diligence and found the best option. We used that particular boarding facility twice over the course of a few months and had issues both times. We were devastated. We had decided to put a hold on travel, indefinitely. We missed a couple weddings, funerals, birthdays, you name it. It was a bummer. One day we stumbled across the Alpine Dog Ranch website and we couldn't believe what we were reading/seeing. It was exactly what we were looking for. We scheduled a meet and greet immediately and it was everything they said it was. Everything about it was perfect. The staff love what they do, the dogs and staff love each other, and the dogs love life when they're there. Not only do we not feel guilty leaving our dogs there, sometimes we plan quick weekend trips just so they can go there to hang out with the pack, get a little dirty and just be dogs. It is what they say it is. We are extremely grateful that we found Alpine Dog Ranch and recommend it to everyone looking for a boarding facility. The peace of mind you get is worth every penny, and it's more affordable than the local dog lockers! Thank you Alpine Dog Ranch!
