Staff was very positive, patient, considered, comforting when I brought my Toby in for Mass removal on his chest & teeth cleaning plus extractions. They explained everything before keep me informed during and after surgery. I am deeply grateful for your Service! Thumbs đź‘Ť up

I had to put my precious Woody to sleep. He was very old and was having seizures and could barely walk. The staff and the Vet were so kind and compassionate. It's such a difficult thing to do, they made us both as comfortable as could be. I thank them for their kindness.

Service was quick and affordable however, Hayley and Matt were pretty unprofessional. It’s okay to make mistakes or forget a detail but refusing to accept accountability and having a poor attitude is pretty unacceptable for a paying client. Asking questions shouldn’t be seen as an issue or a “situation that needs to be defused”. Hayley already seemed like she didn’t want to be there on and Matt felt like it was necessary to insert himself into the conversation and continuously speak over me even after asking him to stop politely. I prefer quality care at a higher price than to deal with employees who don’t like their job just for cheaper vaccines. Pretty disappointed with the first impression their office provided as the other vet techs seemed to be more polite and happy to be there than the actual receptionist.

Although I live in San Diego, I drive to El Cajon to ensure my schnauzer receives the personalized and professional care that we receive at Bastet.
My dog’s teeth cleaning at Bastet was not only amazing and life changing, no more bad breath, but I received instruction on how and when to brush my dog’s teeth - they go the extra mile at Bastet. Lastly, we switched from a very busy, get em in and out as fast as possible, vet clinic on Broadway in El Cajon to Bastet because Bastet is more reasonably priced and they take the time to ensure you are fully informed and satisfied before letting you leave with your pet -they truly care! I am a Life Customer.

Ah, the post-COVID era—a time when you'd expect businesses to open their doors and welcome clients inside. But not this place! No, they’ve taken the bold step of keeping customers confined to their cars, transforming a routine vet visit into an hour-long tailgate party. Efficiency at its finest.
And let’s talk about the vet—a true renaissance man. Forget caring for animals; he’s mastered the art of greasy salesmanship, peddling unnecessary tests and procedures with the finesse of a used car dealer trying to unload a lemon. My dog had bladder stones, and he graciously offered to *not* perform the surgery—for a mere $5,000. A real bargain compared to the $1,500 I actually paid elsewhere. Who needs competence when you can have a scam?
As for the front desk staffer, her attitude matches her appearance—both dripping with charm. Rudeness has never looked so fitting. Truly, a clinic that sets the bar low and still manages to trip over it.
