I brought my newly adopted dog here this week. The online appointment booking is extremely convenient. This is the only vet office that I have experienced that usually has next day appointments. The office itself feels nicer than most medical offices, and has cozy seating for pets. Check in was quick, and we were immediately placed into a nice room. The staff was extremely nice, and made Kira feel comfortable. The vet tech, and vet were also knowledgeable and kind. I brought my dog in for a check up, and minor concerns. I thought I’d be leaving with at least a $500 bill, and it was a fourth of that. 10/10 for our first visit, and this will become our primary!

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR CAT DENTAL WORK!
To sum up my recent experience I was charged over 1K for a surgery they were not capable of doing and then referred to the vet's husband to do the same procedure out of San Diego.
Back Story if you want to keep reading...
I was told my kitty needed several teeth removed and it could affect her health in serious ways if we didn't take care of it.
They asked me upon dropping her off if she needed additional teeth removed should they go for it OR call me before removing any extra teeth—(to me) this indicates they are skilled to remove her whole mouth if necessary. Turns out she needed a lot of extra teeth removed AND they WEREN'T qualified for that type of procedure so they left ALL of her teeth in, cleaned them, x-rays, and sent her off drugged up on anesthesia. She's 11 and we've been coming here since they were kittens.
I picked her up and they handed me the bill that I questioned—I ended up at the vet for an extra hour, talking to 2 front desk girls and a manager who could not give me clear answers before talking to the vet. Also, I was referred to the vet's husband who conveniently specializes in dental work, to do this same procedure all over again. However, they don't work "directly" with them either so the x-rays and tests she had done that day may not transfer to the newly-referred office. Another surprise was that the vet then realized there was an unnecessary charge on the bill of around $200 which none of the other employees who had helped me noticed(?). I left paying $1022 with the problem still existing.
I was disappointed there was no transparency before surgery. Had I known there was a vet who specializes in the dental work we needed, I would have gladly gone there for the procedure. Now the poor kitty still has her crappy teeth in her mouth and we have to recover from this financial setback before taking care of it, so in the end it affects her the most which is very unsettling as most pet owners would understand.
Also, I typically opt out of leaving bad reviews but I hope this will help people get a second opinion, especially with cat dental work at this location.
I want also want to address the response from the vet below. They contacted me shortly after my experience about a check-up for my other cat and I expressed my disappointment and lost of trust during that call. They have my name and number on file as well so in my opinion they should be contacting me if they are concerned about their review.

The staff and vets here are wonderful. We are always greeted with a smile and the everyone there treats our two dogs with such love. Very easy to schedule appointments and receive our dog's records if need be. Highly recommended!

My 7 year old dog had a benign growth on her neck we had previously gotten a quote on for removal. Brought her here and was given a quote for nearly 3 times the amount of my previous quote. Granted my first quote was in another state, and when I asked why they'd charge this much more I received a kind of snobby response of "it's the quality of care, we have people that monitor your dog when they're being operated on and same with anesthesiologists."
Brought my dog to another vet office nearby in Carlsbad and was quoted about $1,500 less for the same operation. When I compared the 2 quotes this vet office charges double for every single item listed on the quote. I was told by someone who worked at this location in the past that they charge so much more because they're a huge corporate vet office and they have quotas they have to meet for certain procedures and pricing. I'd avoid this office at all cost if you value your money. Their quality of care was less than others nearby and at nearly triple the cost.
