I love Del Norte animal hospital. Everyone there is absolutely amazing they take such great care of our Chloe girl and make me feel like all that matters is whatever Chloe needs. Dr.Gillmeister and Dr. Herndon are awesome. I wish I had found them years ago.

We moved into the area about a year and a half ago. Del Norte was close to the house so we went with them to care for our senior lab. My lab had been with us for 14 years and as a military family he’d traveled the world with us. He was a member of the family. I know if you’re reading this then you are a pet lover. So I won’t go into details but we made an emergency trip last week because something was way off with our lab. Ultimately he passed and crossed the rainbow bridge at Del Norte.
Since day one they have been the best Vets and treated my lab like he was the only dog in California. So I knew to run to them in an emergency. Once the staff and doctors realized the severity of our situation, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were passionate, empathetic and just amazing considering the circumstances. We were able to stay as long as we needed and even the Vet shed some tears. I’m will whole heartedly recommend this Vet to anyone looking for a staff that cares and Vets that are thorough and professional.
It’s always tough to lose a member of the family, especially a furry one, however ever since we step foot in California for over a year and a half they took great care of my dog, right until the end. I couldn’t imagine going to any other vet, so please check them out I think you and your Pat will love them and they will love your pet right back.

I really love this office. I've been bringing my golden retriever, Jodie, here since she was a pup, and she just absolutely loves everything about this place. Prior to Jodie's arrival, Jenny also loved coming here, and I have always felt that both dogs received the best care from everyone involved.
While I've had the pleasure of meeting all the doctors over the years, Dr. Gillmeister has always been our primary, and I can't say enough nice things about her. She's observant, attentive, kind, and has a wonderful bedside manner. Everyone who works in the front and back have always been very kind as well, so I have no problem always recommending this office where I can.
PS - get pet insurance, it's really great!

I can't believe it has taken so long for me to leave a review, despite referring friends to Dr. Gillmeister for a few years now. I have a furry Feline child that means the world to me and, unfortunately, he has some health concerns. Dr. Gillmeister cares for him as if he was her own- and is direct and informative about options, potential issues and cost- while having the best empathetic manner. She has researched food options and specialists to find him the best care when it is beyond their scope. After having numerous veterinarians throughout my life I can not give a high enough recommendation for Dr. Gillmeister- she is truly the best!!!

I had a great experience at Del Norte Animal Hospital. I called on a Sunday and they were able to see me right away. My pup is feeling so much better and I am so grateful that the whole process went smoothly and I didn’t have to wait too long in the lobby to be seen. Bonus, they have treats for humans and doggies too. 😋
