I went in because my cat's canine tooth was broken. Dr. Ray checked it out and told me that it was totally fine and she is not experiencing any pain whatsoever. I was concerned because she was having behavioral issues and I believed that she was in pain due to her tooth. He doubled down and asserted that there is no cause for concern, she is not in pain, and that she will be able to eat and live with it normally. He didn't ask me any questions or acknowledge any of my concerns. I took her to another reputable vet for a second opinion. They gave her a proper exam and found an abscess in her tooth which was indeed causing her pain and would have gotten much worse if I actually listened to Dr. Ray. My cat ended up having to undergo a procedure to get her tooth extracted. This is not my first negative experience with Dr. Ray. He is very cocky and arrogant with his veterinary knowledge and insists that his opinion is correct no matter what you say or think. Be careful around anybody, especially a doctor, that speaks in absolutes. If you want to see a good doctor for your cat, request Dr. Picht prior to your appointment. She's amazing. I wish I had seen her instead.

We had a wonderful experience at this clinic. The vet explained his diagnosis in great detail. He had excellent people skill in addition to his animal skill :)
I really appreciate the concern he showed to our pet’s symptoms.
The technician was also very sweet and professional.
I was also very happy with the cost of the care we received today.
This will be the primary care clinic for our cat.

Penasquitos Pet Clinic was referred to me as I brought my new puppy home. We've been several times now for both completing our puppy shots, also an unexpected trip when my pup was sick for a few days and as an over-protective new fur mom I ran to the vet!
Everyone here is super friendly, give lots of love and most importantly quality care. My pup loves visiting the vet as they always give her plenty of love to make the visit more enjoyable.
I highly recommend!

THIS CLINIC IS AWESOME!!! Ok, so our chihuahua scrounges where she wasn’t supposed to and eats an entire chicken drumstick overnight! Of course it just so happens on the same day that my fiancé has a flat tire and the truck needs to go to the shop! So, panic sets in that morning as to where we can be worked in to get Coco seen and evaluated. We call PEÑASQUITOS PET CLINIC and they immediately prepared to see her with no questions other than where else has she been to the vet. We split forces and my fiancé takes Coco while I deal with the tire. Skip ahead, and by the time the tire is taken back, PQ PET CLINIC conference calls us with the great news that Coco is fine, she’ll pass the chicken bones through and she’ll need maintenance for teeth and health soon. DR PICHT, CECEILIA, and the ENTIRE CLINIC get my HIGHEST RATING! Thank you all very much for being there in a pinch, being so thorough, and being so caring!

Unfortunately I had to switch to a different vet, but that was entirely due to my (very anxious) dog deciding that he was no longer going to cooperate. Dr. Ray and everyone in the office were really good with him, but I think my dog learned that this office was a place where things he didn't like occurred.
When we first started seeing Dr. Ray, he was very calm, gentle, and patient with my dog. He took whatever time was needed to help my dog feel comfortable, and that made a massive difference in my dog's behavior and demeanor.
The office staff is also fantastic. Very friendly and very helpful. They refilled my dogs medications quickly and accurately, and even worked with me to determine the best time to bring in my dog. He gets nervous around other dogs, so they always made sure that the lobby was empty when my dog and I came in.
Zero complaints, wish I could have stayed!
