DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS GROOMING HERE! I had brought my dog grooming here last year and she has never been the same since I picked her up. Once I picked her up, she would not stop shaking and anytime we picked up objects that had the shape of a stick she would shiver and run away. My dog has never been physically harmed or had an accident where she had been injured. I had to take her to a new groomer since this incident. Now she loves going to the groomers yet something that happened that day at Petco Grooming that triggered my dog to have constant anxiety that she deals with every single day. My sister's dog was taken to Petco for grooming before my dog and she hated getting groomed. She actually showed the groomer her teeth and kept pulling away from her when she is not an aggressive dog at all. We just assumed she just did not like getting bathed. Now, they both go to the same groomer and get so excited to see her, and want to run inside to the bathing area. If your dog pulls away or doesn't want to go know that it is for a reason! They should not dread it THAT much.

We are always received with kind smile and are given an accurate time for when my pet will be ready. My dog's grooming needs are always well taken care of, if the groomer notices something that I forgot to mention she takes care of it and mentions at pick up that she took care of it 🥰

My daughter had recommended me to bring our small dog for a much needed bath to the PETCO store at Eastlake (San Diego). I made the call on a Sunday morning and was told we needed to set up an apptmt. Our appointment was set for the following Thursday in the afternoon. For the next days prior to the apptm't I did receive no less than seven text messages "reminding" me of the appointment, two more the day of the apptm't. On Thursday, my wife and I arrived on time and waited 5-10min for someone to take care of us. The process took another 5 min filled with several initials and signatures on a paper alerting me of all the terrible things that could happen during a simple bath. I understand these companies have to protect themselves against a number of situations so I played along. What really disturbed me however was the lack of empathy of the employee taking care of me. She grabbed my dog like a hard object and place him in the floor without showing any emotion towards such a small and vulnerable creature. My discontent grew as I was told that I should be back in around 2-3 hours 'cuz there were several dogs ahead of mine. I thought I had an appointment and was expecting to be able to "see" people working on my pet, it didn't happen. After this lady took my dog to another room where we didn't know what would happen for the next 2 hrs, my wife and I decided to go home and wait for their call. 2 1/2 hrs later we received the call and came back to the store. While waiting for our dog, this time we got a chance to speak to someone who clearly "love animals" and sensed our anxiety. He made a big difference on how we felt. Another lady with a similar love for animals delivered our dog and I must say we were very pleased with the result. People doing the grooming know their jobs and execute pretty well. If the company can make sure those at the front desk could be more sensitive and appreciative of our little companions it would certainly made for a much more enjoyable experience. My expectation with this review is only to alert management of a few things that could increase the number of their repeat customers: 1. If you are asking so many times to confirm the day and the time, be respectful of the clients time. Don't tell me there is a waiting line ahead of me. 2. We customers don't know your procedures, a friendly explanation of what you need to do and a "copy" of the things you are asking us to sign would be appropriate. 3. Watching your pet being taken care of, helps make this a more enjoyable experience. Allow, even invite, owners to be there while you do your thing. 4. Associates at the front desk need to be empathic and love pets. When they show they care, we, the customers will also care .... come back ... and give referrals to family and friends. None of these recommendatons will cost you money, but I can guarranteed it will have a profund impact at your bottom line.

Terrible customer service I brought my Dog to his appointment for a bath and hair cut had to wait there for 15minutes for anyone to come out to help then when someone finally came out on the second call for service, I was informed that my Dog was not in their system. She I said are you sure you had an appointment today?? and I told her yes I waited about 3 weeks for this appointment. I told her I am not making it up. I talked to a lady and she gave me this date and time. 4/19 10:30am. Then she said I got cleaning going on in the back here, like she didn’t believe me. Not only did she not even try to make it right, but she basically thought I was Lying. Then she walked away NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. Very disappointed bad customer service.
