The staff in this facility were extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been going to Petco for years and I have never experienced this level of disrespect. The whole time they disrespected me I kept my calm, did not raise my voice, nor did I disrespected them back..
Let me explain what happened. I dropped off my dog at 12:20 and the appointment was at 12:30. Around 2:30pm I came back to the store and stood there admiring my cute dog. She is only 9lbs, she didn’t even see me or acknowledge my presence, she is a very timid dog. As I was about to walk away an employee tells me, in a rude tone of voice “Your dog is not ready, why are you here? We haven’t called you yet”. I kept my composure and told her that I understood and asked at what time do they think she will be finished, then she told me in another hour. Around 3:30 I come back and again, I just stood there not bothering anyone or asking any questions. Then the groomer took my dog off the table and handed me my dog in a hostile way. Then he said “You are stressing me out, I can’t do my job when you stand there. I still have 45 minutes left of work on your dog, but since you want to come back then here you go. Next time you need to get VIP if you want your dog faster”. Then I proceeded to explain that I have never waited this long before and that’s why I came 3 hours after I dropped off my dog. Then he handed me my paperwork and it said my dog was dropped off at 12:54pm and I asked him if he could fix it to show the time I actually dropped off my dog which it was 12:20pm. Then he said “it doesn’t matter what the paper say, it’s not like you’re going to get a discount” then I explained to him that I wanted it to be accurate on my account that I dropped off my dog 10 minutes prior to my appointment because I am always on time.

This is regarding my Dog Roscoe’s new groomer Stephanie. When John left, we didn’t have another groomer so we toughed it out for a few months without. Finally came back in for an appointment with Steph. She did the whole 9 on my Dog and he looked great. He was also very happy and 24 hours later he STILL IS! Slept like a Baby last night too. Thank you Stephanie and Petco La Mesa!

Stephanie at La Mesa does a fantastic job and is very quick at her job. Very thorough and thoughtful to my fur baby and my needs. Will definitely be coning back to Stephanie for future grooming.

Trina is the best . We love how good she is with our little Maltese "Eva" who absolutely loves her :) Amazing hair cuts leaving her looking like a true Diva😁😁🐶🧸🎀
