Kacey and Dakota were rescued from OCGSR and are now thriving under the excellent care we have at Scripps Parkway Vets! We've gone there since they opened because the entire staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and caring!!

Dr. Carhart has been our small animal vet for more than ten years. He is incredibly kind, patient and thorough. You can tell how much he truly cares about the animals. I know he will look at a problem from every angle and make sure he gets to the bottom of it. I'm grateful for his incredible knowledge of veterinary medicine, as well as his kind, caring nature. His staff are wonderful too! My animals love them and I'm reassured that they are in good hands.

Trustworthy vet and staff.
There is so much information available these days, that it is critical to have a vet that you can trust to care for your pet. Dr. Carhart took the time (over an hour) to evaluate our newly adopted dog and talk to me. It was a most educational session, and I walked out with a great sense of confidence in his expertise and experience. I no longer have to sift for answers online, when I can just ask and get trustable answers. His staff is also very responsive, caring, and friendly, and takes the time to provide useful information and answers. I trust this team, and that's the most important in a vet.

Cons:
- none noted so far, if I had to point a con, I could say their website could be refreshed a bit, but it does have good information and links, and their petsites is a very good portal, and overall, this aspect could be seen to reflect their focus on care over fluff. To clarify, I'm a new pet owner, and this is my first vet, so while I do not have much experience to compare to, I did visit another vet first, and that other place had a fancy website and modern looking offerings, but I had barely had 10 mins of time with the vet, who recommended treatments that did not make sense to me. So the contrast with SPVH was stark!
I am confident my dog will be well cared for here. Now to find myself a similar local PCP!

The doctors and staff here have taken care of my dog for a little over 10 years. Everyone from the front office staff to the doctors are experienced professionals and provide a caring experience for both pet and owner. My pup is always very relaxed with everyone that works here. I highly recommend them.

We've had numerous dogs and dealt with numerous Vets over the last 25 years, and when we moved to San Diego 4 tears ago, I found Scripps Parkway Veterinary Hospital. They have always been very convenient and friendly. I have recommended them to my neighbors, and they have been happy too. The staff and doctors are certainly knowledgeable and caring about our dogs welfare.
I have a standing rule with them, "don't sell me on something i don't need", and they follow it well.
Could they charge less for some of the services they provide - probably. But I haven't found a vet yet that is cheap - and I don't want to.
