We sent our rottweiler for the board and train for 4 weeks. He is not the most socialized rescue so we were concerned how it would go with so many new people. Luckily our fears were unfounded! He made a ton of new friends with the great staff there, trainers and vets alike. We are very happy with his progress and have learned a lot on how to better help him. Aaron is a fantastic trainer! It's so great to see our boy trust another human and expand his world. The facility is nice and I love that they have an on-site vet in case of any emergency. We are even planning to bring our other dog for board and train so that they're both on the same page. Highly recommend, especially if you're struggling with a dog that can be labeled aggressive or fearful.

We sent our dog, Spencer, for the 3 week boot camp. From the beginning we received constant updates and pictures. Then when we picked him up, our jaws dropped at his newfound skills and behavior. Next up was our training so that we could reinforce all the progress at home. His trainer, Dominique, has been amazing, patient and helpful through the whole process and Spencer adores her. If we add any other dogs to our family, they will definitely be trained by Snug.

I dropped off my dog with the trainer Dominique Mellinger for a 10 day board and train to work on some basic manners but mostly to board for 10 days. Dominique failed to meet the most basic requirements agreed upon in the contract. She could not even send a single photo at the half way point of the training, which was agreed upon in the contract. 1 day after the halfway point I got an email saying she was to busy to take a single photo, but did have time to write an email excuse….. When she did finally email with an updated on day 7 of 10. It simply said he was doing great and thank you for letting me watch him. She then failed to respond when asked repeatedly both by email and by phone, to confirm a time to pick up my dog on day 10. She and the office confirmed she was working that day but simply not responding. At 6am the morning of day 10 she sent me one email to try and tried to cover by making up excuses for not doing anything earlier this week and then tried to explain that because she was bad at time management they needed to keep him another day…… Not due to issues with training but because she had not taken the proper steps earlier in the week. My dog was clearly stressed and is missing patches of fur. I assume he was locked in a cage most of the 10 days. Because of the utter lack of communication and lack of professionalism I have no reason to think they did anything else. Due to the amount of paper work I was forced to sign I assume this happens a lot. I was even forced to sign documents before they would let me see my dog when I arrived to pick him up saying that I was taking him “early” even though I was there on day 10. The day we agreed upon when I dropped him off for a 10 day board and train. Edit (response to the owner) Just to recap concrete facts stated in email by your team. My dog was dropped off on Wednesday the 20th where I was told by Dominique in person that he would not be receiving training the day I dropped him off as per your standard procedure. She then took Thursday and Friday off. So no training could have occurred then with Domonique. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday were days where training could have taken place but by Dominique’s own written admission she was too busy to even take a single photo (failing to meet the conditions in your contract). Knowing that taking a photo takes around 10 seconds with one hand… I can’t imagine she had time to do any training. Having 5 days to take a single photo is a wonderful litmus test assigned to your own team by your own contract that they failed to pass. I received one email on Wednesday, day 7 with 1 photo but no mention of scheduling a time to pick him up and she never responded to my messages, or phone calls placed to Snugpet Resort. She was then out of the office Thursday and Friday and I picked him up on day 10, Saturday the 30th. So simply counting days Dominique told me in writing she was not in the office and the days she told me she was too busy to even take a single photo makes 9 of the 10 days Domonique has admitted in writing to either not being there, or not having time to interact with my dog. One of your team members reached out by email and offered to make it “right” Because your team has confirmed in writing that my dog did not receive training on nine of the 10 days. I am requesting a full refund, As I was not the party to violate the contract, your team was.

Snug is amazing. Their trainers, vet and boarding staff are wonderful and communicative. They let me know about any issues my dog was having and provided me options. As far as training went, my trainer Aaron was amazing. He provided great instruction and answered all my questions. I recommend Snug to everyone at the dog park!
