So this is a review about my experience with the hospital that spanned various visits during 2021-2022. I was set to move from SD to Australia in 2022 and had the opportunity to take my dog with me. I needed a doctor that had the initial certifications to proceed with the process. This is how I came across Dr. Schexneider. Every visit to her has been a positive experience with my dog Chico. The staff at this hospital were sensitive to his reactivity to other dogs and were very accommodating of his needs. Since the process of importing to Australia is very precise, we were able to work together in scheduling the necessary appointments and to see if my dog was fit for the journey. While the hospital was accommodating to the process of submitting forms and necessary signatures, despite the little wiggle room it allows, it’s still up to the importer (or pet parent in this case) to stay on top of that process. Sometimes the hospital can get busy and you’ll have to check in with them for some follow up questions.
Dr. Schexneider was very knowledgeable about the process and was clear about the purpose of every appointment and what would be done to Chico on the scheduled day. My dog got tired of the trips to the vet very quick, but it was the team here that helped make that trip planning process a lot easier. I only wish this hospital was in Australia!
Chico is doing well and he’s been loving the plenty of space and sunshine aus has to offer, but most of all- he has been loving his new siblings! I thank the Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital for helping reunite my family.

We have taken our kitties to Terrasanta Veterinary hospital for years. They are Fear Free Certified veterinary professionals. The staff has always been gentle, caring and attentive to our kitties. We recommend them to anyone who wants loving care for their pets.

The staff here was really great. We ended up having to put our dog down, but they went out of their way to give us all of our options and were with us until the very end. They even contacted us after the fact with a sympathy card. It would have been a lot harder of a situation if we weren't in such good hands.
** 1 year update **
This is still the best veterinary clinic we have been too. We bring our cats and they are always so gentle with them (even if my cats aren't the most enthused lol). They even have pheromone blankets to put on their carriers to help calm them down. My cats are always happy (or the happiest they can be) to be here. The vet also helps find cost effective alternatives for medication. 1000/10 recommend this place.

I recently took my dog Sky to his first vet appointment since we adopted him from the humane society, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff at the vet clinic were so welcoming and friendly, making Sky feel comfortable and at ease right from the start.
The vet was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything to me in detail, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had. Sky was a little nervous at first, but the vet and her team were so gentle and patient with him, making the entire visit stress-free for both of us.
I was so impressed with the level of care and compassion that Sky received during his appointment. The vet was able to give him a clean bill of health and even provided me with some helpful tips and recommendations for keeping him happy and healthy.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience we had at Sky's first vet appointment. I feel confident knowing that he is in good hands and receiving the best possible care. I would highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable team to take care of their furry family members. Thank you for a great visit!

We absolutely love our visits to the Tierrasanta Vet! Dr. Schexneider and her superb staff (to include Jan, Brittany, and Leona) always welcome our doodle family with loving arms! Our puppies' joyful reactions alone are a testament that the service provided is nothing less than outstanding! Thank you for almost two years of great care!
