Local Value, LLC DBA Local.Pet is committed to making local.pet accessible to people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 Level AA as our baseline, and we treat WCAG 2.2 AA as a forward-looking target.

1. Current state

The site is under active development. Known limitations we are actively remediating include keyboard navigation in certain map-based interactions, color contrast on selected secondary labels, and ARIA labeling on some interactive controls. We provide accessible alternatives wherever feasible and continue to broaden coverage with each release.

2. What we have done

Keyboard navigation through critical paths (search, sign-in, save, claim) is functional.
Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
High-contrast Tailwind defaults across most surfaces.
Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks across pages.
Alt text for content images (where the source provides it).

3. Help and reporting

If you encounter an accessibility barrier we should know about, email accessibility@local.pet with:

The page URL where you encountered the issue
A description of the barrier
The assistive technology you were using, if relevant
Your contact information so we can follow up

We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days and to remediate critical barriers within 30 days.

4. Conformance evaluation

We use both automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual testing with keyboard-only and screen-reader workflows. Independent third-party audits are on the roadmap.

5. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or with your jurisdiction's equivalent.
