Deckers Dog + Cat — Pet-Friendly Retail in San Diego

My pup's favorite place to visit on the weekend is Bird Rock. She's obsessed with Calumet Park and the neighborhood, but refuses to leave without a trip to Deckers. This place has been our go-to for her treats and chews but after today we will be regularly purchasing her food here. Our vet recommended Purina Pro Plan since it meets WSAVA standards. But ever since switching her from a human grade diet to this recommended kibble she's had horrible stomach problems. I also feel guilty when I see the ingredients. After sharing this with Austin today he walked us through ingredients, what all that kibble lingo means, and provided us a sample of NutriSource's Pure Vita kibble. I took her home shortly after and gave her the lamb and pumpkin entree for lunch and she is OBSESSED. She keeps looking up at the counter asking for more. 😅 You can tell from the ingredients and freshness of the kibble that this is WAY better than whatever bag of dry fast food I was giving her. Thank you to Austin for taking the time to recommended this and for giving the gift of healthy food to Nyla. Super glad he works at Deckers and that this awesome pet store exists. This is officially our go-to spot for not just treats, but her every day food supply.
