Rose Creek is a salt water Marsh and Estuary system that empties into Mission Bay in Pacific Beach. A paved pedestrian/ bike path runs along the creek's east side, and a dirt path is on the west side. There is an abundance of wildlife thriving here. Numerous birds including herons, ducks, hawks, hummingbirds, and songbirds are everywhere, as well as rabbits, squirrels and many reptiles. While the eastern path has a bike path, I prefer the western side with the native plant area. Flowers of many kinds are everywhere. While many people are just whizzing by, I prefer to hang out and watch this small natural area full of life.
