Promoted placements — coming soon.

Two ad surfaces are planned for Local.Pet, and neither is live yet:

Google Ads / AdSense. Display ads on high-traffic pages. Adds a new "Advertising" cookie category to the consent banner (EU/CA gating mandatory).
Native promoted listings. A self-serve advertiser portal where local businesses buy featured placement in their category or neighborhood. Billing + performance reporting included.

Waiting for critical mass

Advertising activates when Local.Pet has enough traffic to make promoted placements worth an advertiser's spend. Until then, listings are ranked purely by our data quality signals — nothing is pay-to-win.
