If you sit, walk, board, drop-in on, or train pets, you don't need a storefront to show up on Local.Pet. Your provider profile lives on the map right next to established local businesses in the same category. The user searching for "dog walker in Ocean Beach" sees you as a peer option — not buried in a directory list.

Provider profiles use a tiered trust model (Bronze → Silver → Gold Paw) so pet owners understand what verification level you've completed. Higher-tier providers surface higher in listings.

Onboarding not yet open

Gig provider onboarding activates alongside our Stripe Connect payments integration (Phase 5+ on the roadmap). We're scaffolded but not accepting new sign-ups yet. Register your interest via Contact and we'll email you when it opens.

What onboarding will look like

  1. 1. Account: phone + email verification (2 minutes)
  2. 2. Background check via Checkr (Bronze Paw is available after this clears)
  3. 3. Stripe Connect onboarding so we can route customer payments (Silver Paw)
  4. 4. Profile: photo, coverage area, services offered, animals accepted
  5. 5. Cancellation policy selection (flexible / moderate / strict — locked in via Stripe Connect)
